monkeybrains.png A week or two ago, thinkorswim added a new regular feature to their MonkeyBrains blog: daily video market wrapups from Joe Kinahan, chief derivatives strategist at thinkorswim.

So far, the videos are a great addition and really add a nice element to the blog.  The only problem is that they’re usually uploaded 12+ hours after the market close for that day.  This means that any support/resistance levels, trading ideas, or other time-sensitive elements in the videos are often already too old by the time the video is posted.

Managing a daily video blog/podcast is tough: just look at how few daily podcasts there are in iTunes vs. weekly ones.  But if TOS could manage to get those daily wrapups posted within 5-6 hours of the market close that day, this mildly interesting feature of their blog could turn into a really useful one.

I totally agree. I’ve been a big fan of JJ’s market wrap-up videos since they started this month and it would be great if they were posted the same day rather than the next day. It’s kind of strange to listen to market wrap-up commentary 3+ hours into the next day of trading.
